A Ride to Support Fallen Police Officers

Today, the Newport Beach Police Association had the honor of meeting Travis Risley.

Travis Risley is a 16 year old boy who is riding his bike about 1,000 miles from the Oregon/California border to the Mexican border in San Ysidro to raise money for the California Peace Officer Memorial Foundation. He chose this charity because his father is a Police Officer and his brother is in Law Enforcement. After seeing all of the bad things happening to police officers around the world, Travis knew it was his time to give back.

Travis is a special kind of hero. We appreciate all of the hard work and dedication that Travis has been putting towards this important cause and wish him the best on the rest of his journey. Newport Beach Police Association is definitely #TeamTravis.
